For me, movement is not a means to an end. It is the game.
I build games in Unity. Almost all of them revolve around movement: grappling hooks, wind, speed. What occupies me is less what a mechanic can do than why it feels right. That is the question I spend the longest on.

A deliberately hard 2D platformer. You draw the wind yourself with the mouse and let it pull you through the level.
Scan people's belongings and decide which soul gets through the gates of heaven. Built in seven days at a game jam.
